The 2023 edition of NFPA 25 is now available and covers the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems. In this class, we will discuss key code updates that affect how we currently perform ITM activities such as sprinkler interval testing, antifreeze requirements, and classification of noncritical/critical deficiencies as well as impairments. The instructor will guide attendees through a scenario-based activity utilizing Table A.3.3.8 to discuss how different situations encountered in the field can affect these classifications. At the conclusion of this class, distribution of field guides will allow the attendees to apply their newly acquired insight to their own ITM work.
